But although Baku looks pretty amazing from your post, I have heard that getting out of the city to explore the surroundings is a better idea because Azerbaijan is lovely. The immigration officer specifically asked me where my family is from. I kno...Great post about Azerbaijan and really Baku. I know very little about this area even though my family is originally from Armenia I had no idea about the conflicts between the two. Seems like a very interesting town to walk around and I'm learning more about the historic Silk Road and all the areas that people would travel. I think the fire Hindu temple sounds awesome.
