Things to do in San Francisco

Last week of December 2017  got a great deal on a flight from Austin to San Francisco and spent it with friends and family there.

Day 1

Took Uber to the airport in Austin, Arrived late in the evening, kind of tired. I had already had a big meal at the airport, spent time with family and called it a night.

Day 2 San Francisco sight seeing

Full day of sight seeing, first stop breakfast at a diner. Coming from Texas got a little taste of how expensive California is.

First stop after breakfast was Hawk Hill to get some awesome views of the Golden Gate bridge.

Now I was there on the on Christmas a holiday and hard to find parking. Spent an hour walking sight seeing and did some photography. After that the next stop was Palace of Fine Arts

After the Fine arts building out last stop for the evening was Twin Peaks to get some awesome views of San Francisco

The evening ended with a BBQ with friends and family

Day 3 Ferry ride around the Bay

The Plan was to go to Alcatraz, one needs to book and buy tickets in advance, so did go past Alcatraz in a ferry, just not inside for a tour. Parked at a parking lot across from Pier 39 and took a ferry to go around the bay

The ferry took us around the bay, under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz

A visit to Muir Woods with tall redwood trees, so peaceful and just amazing!!

Day 6 Visited San Francisco China Town

Day 7 Visited Treasure Island San Francisco

That's the bay bridge, It was too cloudy, night is the best time to go to take photos. I had a early morning flight the next day, so could not go at night.
