Airport to city takes about 30 minutes, have your hotel arrange for transportation to avoid any taxi scams.
Civil protests were taking place Chile in response to a raise in the Santiago Metro's subway fare, increased cost of living, and inequality in the country.
In Santiago the city streets one could see graffiti every where also burnt buildings and shops.
Protest were still going on, there were protestors trying to break into shops for looting and armored police trucks were spray tear gas to disperse the crowds.
